Graduate Certificate in Agribusiness
Set yourself up to advise farmers and growers on how to improve the profitability and sustainability of their businesses with this short course.

In a small and remote country like New Zealand, being successful in agribusiness - such as beef, dairy and winegrowing - relies on our ability to keep up with the latest scientific and technological innovations, manage complex value chains, and compete in global markets.
Studying agribusiness at the University of Waikato puts you on the doorstep of New Zealand's rural heartland. This region is home to leading agricultural export firms such as Fonterra, Zespri, Comvita, and Tatua Dairy Company.
You'll gain a well-rounded understanding of the business side of agriculture and the global trading environment, and develop strong skills in economic and financial analysis to solve problems.
Some of the topics covered include food production systems, soil and nutrient management, supply chain management, and international marketing.
You'll also discuss key challenges facing New Zealand food producers, such as the impact of government policies and free trade agreements, environmental concerns like climate change. Learn how sustainable farming practices can be used by farmers to reduce costs and gain a competitive advantage.
