GradCert(SCM)
Graduate Certificate in Supply Chain Management

New Zealand's distance from overseas markets makes it vital for Kiwi companies to design global supply chains that are fast, efficient, and respond to customer needs. This short course will help you understand what it takes to build a supply chain that flows smoothly from the factory or farmgate to distributors and retailers around the world.

If you plan to become a logistics manager, operations manager or e-commerce manager, it's critical to understand the challenges of creating complex supply chains to move a company's products around the world.

In this course, you'll find out what goes into the planning and technology of transportation and logistics networks; as well as building strong partnerships with other companies to achieve a common goal.

The more efficient a company's supply chain, and the less physical waste created in the process, the better it is for business performance.

Develop the skills to forecast future customer demand, determine order quantities, and ensure that products arrive on time. You'll be able to analyse problems with scheduling; and be introduced to concepts such as lean production.

Students will gain insights into new digital technologies and information systems that are changing the way today's products and services are manufactured, transported and consumed.

You'll be given plenty of opportunities to apply what you learn to real-world business situations through practical assignments.
